InStore can now issue refunds using your external payment processors. Configurable refund tender logic gives you control over each return's refund tenders and authorized amounts. This control extends to tenders accepted across your sales channels, such as online and in-store.
This allows you to pass Payment and Transaction data, including Custom Fields, directly from the payment processor so InStore refunds can better align with your other checkout integrations. If a connection issue interrupts refund processing, InStore retries the tender flow so the refund can still complete.
Delegated refunds support split tendering, partial refunds, and multiple payment methods. This includes refunds for orders paid with a different payment method than the one being refunded. You can also specify fallback alternatives for refunds that the original payment processor cannot process, for example a returned gift or a canceled credit card.
